Jerry Weers began his professional painting career in 1974, working in watercolor, and later in etching; but for the past 20 years his preferred medium has been oil painting. His realistic style is based on a careful study of light, with subjects that vary from landscape and an occasional portrait, to his favorite subject, which is still life.
Jerry studied oil painting at the Scottsdale Artists’ School with David Leffel and Gregg Kreutz and watercolor with Joseph Henninger.
His work is represented in galleries and private collections around the country. Jerry teaches painting part-time at Texas Lutheran University and maintains a studio in Texas, where he lives with his wife, Terry and youngest child, Katie.
Reflection Gallery is proud to represent such a masterful Still Life painter.
